This image shows another example of where I have added elements of detail to a basic painting.

I have developed the previous image using Photoshop, adding in new elements and slightly changing colours. I intend to use such smaller designs to create larger, more complex final designs.

Using my new colour palate and patterns, I have began to paint larger design sheets based on my initial fairground theme. This particular image shows a basic painting which has small elements of more intricate pattern.
This image shows further pattern development, using gouache paint. I intend to use these images within computer aided design work.

In order to develop my design work, I have started to paint further pattern pages using an updated colour palate. I have gained inspiration from Victorian patterns in order to do this. I aim to develop such paintings further to ensure I have a variety of patterns to use within my designs.

After gathering together all my designs, I began to display my work ready for deadline. As previously discussed, some of my designs were pixelated slightly. However, it was not easily noticeable, so I went ahead and added them to my collection.

This image shows my display close to finished. I am pleased with the result so far, although some changes are still to be made. After mounting all my design sheets, it became clear that I would also need some smaller designs in order to fill my boards in a tidy way. Also, I have covered some lampshades with designs although these are not to a high quality finish, and I plan to attempt to make these a little neater. For next semester, I need to find a way to execute this to a high standard, and to learn how to print the designs to fit the shades better.
From the previous, initial designs I began to build compositions on Photoshop, changing colour, composition and scale slightly.

After experimenting for a while, I had managed to create a few designs, again for wallpapers.

After sending my designs to print, it seems these were slightly pixelated, which must have happened sometime during the design process. I will need to take more attention to this during my next semester.

To work alongside these wallpaper designs I have also created a lamp design.

These designs would work better as children's designs, rather than general designs. I like the colours I have used in these pieces.

I began drawing simple line drawings from photographs I have taken, adding colour to only small sections. However, I think this particular design is too plain.

I continued by creating this design, which seems to be less plain as I had added in elements of small pattern. I also prefer the colours used in this image.
