Design Inspiration- Jessica Hogarth
After creating the initial line drawings influenced by the work of Timorous Beasties, I have come across another interesting designer who works with line drawings. Jessica Hogarth is a freelance surface pattern design and textiles designer who creates a range of products including prints, stationary, fabrics and greetings cards etc.
These designs by Jessica Hogarth, consist of mainly line drawings, with sections of each in colour. The designs are quite simple, although they are effective.
Design Inspiration- Gillian Bates
Another designer who creates similar pieces is Gillian Bates, who also embroiders into her designs, as I have also done previously. Gillian Bates also frequently produces designs based on fairground and seaside objects and scenes. The following images provide an insight into the kind of work Gillian Bates produces.
