Design Inspiration- Kirath Ghundoo

Kirath Ghundoo, A surface pattern designer creates geometric wallpaper collections, which are designed in a 'Non- Repeat' format and are intended to be mix and matched. This creates a patchwork style to the paper. Rolls are around £140 each and are 52cm x 10m and are mainly produced using high quality 170gsm paper.

I particulary like how Kirath Ghundoo produces simple patterns, alongside more complex designs, as well as her use of colour in this particular design.

Design sheets- Creating Pattern

I Have created some A2 sheets in similar style to the work of Ghundoo, using bold shapes and colours. This piece would work well as a repeat wallpaper, or as a background to further designs. I am unsure of the darker yellow colour I have used in this particular piece, although this can be edited using Photoshop.

Staying with this idea, I have painted a sheet with simple geometric shapes, which could be used as elements of other designs, or to work alongside the more complex sheet I have painted.
