Design Inspiration- Artist
I have began to collect images from a range of sources as my initial inspiration in relation to my new theme. These particular images reflect my initial ideas. These include works from Rachel Taylor. I particularly like the colours Rachel Taylor uses in her designs, and this particular piece shown Left, Bottom inspired me to look at Ferris wheels as an abstract pattern. At this point I am also interested in looking at different types which represent my theme.
From the initial inspiration I have collected, I have created a mood board around my workspace which reflects my initial research into my project theme. I will be focusing on vintage fairgrounds, and the patterns, rides and fonts which could be found on a typical fairground. The colours I plan to base my work on is reflected in some of the images on my mood board. I plan to begin my drawings based on simple fonts and patterns, using these colours.
